Paid photography and film work in Western New York
KASREN produces its own work, so the mix changes with the production schedule. Buffalo-area projects may include indoor photography sessions with a fixed window, location-based shoots that depend on daylight and weather, and short-form film or video work with repeated takes and waiting between setups.
Content categories are stated per project. Nothing is added to a shoot after you have agreed to it.
If you have never done this before
Experience is not required for every project, and no experience does not mean automatic selection either — it means the decision rests on fit, availability and reliability rather than credits. The guides below explain what to send and what a first booking is like.
What KASREN looks for in WNY applicants
- Reliability. Arriving on the agreed day and time, prepared for what was described.
- Availability. Honest windows that line up with when Buffalo projects are scheduled.
- Project fit. A practical match with the brief — region, age range, content category and any stated requirement.
- Current photos. A recent face photo and a recent full-body photo. Professional photos are not required.
- Following requirements. Bringing what was requested and working within the agreed scope.
Before you book, and about your photos
Compensation, scope, timing and usage expectations are provided before you accept anything, and you can decline without losing your place on the list. Photos you submit are used for private casting review only — they are not published on this site. There is no application fee.
